All of our units will retain your original settings, original menu and its options. Our units will also retain your microphone and backup camera/360 camera. Unit is controlled by steering wheel buttons / iDrive controller / Touch ability. Voice activation such as "Siri" and "Hey Google" work in Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto respectively
